A Few Things

Sometimes, one must take what is available.

I just took a contract job through Apex Systems working for Knowledge Learning Corporation.  It has some decent pay and there seems to be some opportunity for advancement into different departments.  We'll see what happens at the end of the 6-month contract.

I haven't been running too much since I had some respiratory issues from a cold that finally caught up with me, but it seems to have cleared up now.  It is sometimes kind of difficult to get the determination to get out into the non-stop rain and hit the pavement for 30 minutes, but sometimes no type of weather will stop me.

My mileage on the bike has been pretty low as well.  I've only put on about 500 miles since January 1st, but as the weather improves and my financial situation stabilizes, I'll be spinning the miles away in no time.

When money is really tight, motivation to do my regular activities really wanes.  I worry about equipment replacement, injury treatment, cost of extra food since I eat constantly while training, and any emergency that may arise.

On the bright side, things seem to be looking up.

Congratulations on New Job! Hopefully it's not completely soul-crushing.

It's not completely soul crushing. Just partially.
